Alexander the Great 

Alexander the Great is considered one of the greatest warriors of all time. But his family dynasty, Argead Dynasty, which had lasted for four centuries, ended with him, or his sons.

His sons, his wife and his mother were all killed by his former subjects. If he didn’t wandered that far, if he stopped expanding slightly earlier, he could have kept his family dynasty intact, he could have saved his sons, his wife and his mother.
