March 10, 2013 Al Gore, Director Apple Inc. Board of Directors General Counsel, MS: 301-4GC 1 Infinite Loop Cupertino, CA 95014 The Honorable Mr. Gore: I met you on February 12, 2000 in San Jose Convention Center at California Democratic Party State Convention (Jing Zhao, “California Democratic Party State Convention: An Observation” at http://cpri.tripod.com/cpr2000/cdp.html ). I wanted to meet you again last month at our company’s shareholders meeting. At the meeting, I wanted to stand up to speak for you when you were unfairly attacked but I could not because my time was so limited as a shareholder and I wanted to speak for the #6 human rights proposal as a political refugee. It was very unfortunate that the shareholders’ meeting was conducted unfairly, undemocratically and violated shareholder’s right. Enclosed please find a copy of my letter on that day I sent to our board of directors. I did receive calls from Apple (650-906-1077 and 408-996-1010) on March 4th and 5th. A gentleman told me that the company received my February 27 letter. However, what he said to me further deepened my concerns. He said that it is the “courtesy” of the company to provide shareholders to meet, as if shareholders have no right to speak at the meeting. If this is allowed, I am afraid that in the future, the company can hold shareholders meetings secretly with your board members only and shareholders be forced to watch online from company’s “courtesy.” He promised to write me on this issue but I never received any writing explanation from our company. Dear Al, please do not run our great company as an animal farm! Please contact me at 925-718-xxxx (phone/fax), or zhao@h-xxxxx.org. Yours, Shareholder, Jing Zhao |
