Cold Meal Day

Flowers are blooming 

all over the capital city of Chang An

when spring arrives

Willows at the royal palace bended softly

by the east wind on this Cooking-Not Day of the year

Ironically lighted candles are distributed 

quietly to the mansions of Dukes and Marquesses

at dusk

For they the noble families cannot live by cold meals 

even for a single day
