 I encourage families and communities across our nation to update their plan or take time to discuss the steps they will take in the event of a disaster. The theme of this year's National 《Disasters don't wait. Make your plans today.》

This message holds true as we begin observations, during the peak of the hurricane season. I encourage everyone to visit ready.gov. to find tools and guidance that can help you, make plans for any kind of emergency you might encounter. Theactions we take today could save live tomorrow. Take time to plan and have the important conversations. 

It is these small actions that will make our families and communities more prepared fordisasters. God bless you all and God bless our great nation.
