| 小儿子搞不清 cute, pretty, 和handsome 的区别，常常对我说：“You are so cute in that ... (dress, shirt, whatever)”。哥哥这时就会说：“You are not supposed to use that word to describe your mom!!”。 后来，小子学乖了，改成更肉麻的“Mom, you are gorgeous!”晕！这小子才六岁，就会这套讨女人喜欢的功夫，以后他的老婆还不得给他腻死？ 小儿晚上睡觉容易醒，醒过来就跑到我们房间，叫我过去陪他。我就等他睡着后再回到自己床上。有天夜里，他醒来好几次，搞得我一夜没睡好。第二天一早还得开车送他去西北大学 Center for Talent Development 的夏令营。中午在麦当劳吃饭时，我一个劲地打哈欠。这小子一边吃一边盘算待会儿回家后干什么，是先玩电脑呢还是玩游戏机。忽然他像想起什么似地问：“What are you going to do when we get home, Mom?"我没好气地说：“睡觉！”。“Why?"”Because I didnt sleep at all last night since you woke me up all the time!" 他不说话了。过了一会儿，他很认真地说：“You know, you should care about yourself first, then take care of me"。 我晕！昨天晚上他一趟趟跑到我房间的时候怎么没有想到要我“care about myself first?" |
