Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me here - and yes, I am a bit tired of repeating myself at Laisheng's blog so I'll try to comment less there :) ! Yes I went to college in 86, so we are the same generation, that might be one reason we think alike :)!
I guess some people probably feel like reading stories like Laisheng's give them a chance to "experience" what they could not or would not experience in real life. In that sense, I understand. I remember reading somewhere that there are two types of people when it comes to reading - those who read to reconfirm/relive their own lives (so they'll like reading things that are realistic or at least remind of them their own lives), and those who read in order to experience totally different types of lives (that's why there are die hard horror story fans!). But I do think it's kind of like fad nowadays to write about all those "complicated love stories", and probably it is a reflection of the time we are living in, especially the lack of moral values in the Chinese society.
Well, there are already people who think that those like you and me think too much, and are too rational, so I guess I'll stop here and go with the flow :)
Zhao Jun, I like your this article. Very well written!
I just like to share my view with you about Lai Sheng's novel again here (since you might be coming here again but not her blog). I read your response to me there. I agree with you again! I start to believe that although people all have brains, and seems they shall be the people we call "those made it" in the U.S., I don't see they really think seriously. when reading novels, their brain is not to think, but to follow, follow the fashion. Today's fashion is "affair out of marriage", maybe we are the out-of-dated people now!
By the way, if you don't mind, are you 86 级? I am 86 ji.I like your "wind and rain for 20 years”too!
