Well said everyone. And 昭君 you are a hoot. I played the flute and the harmonica in my "salad days", but am now, in my “golden years”, too embarrassed to admit it. Like 昭君 just consider me the “odd man out”.
Coolboy: I don't call this bragging, because these are just facts:). Of course I'll not say my boys are accomplished players, because they are still just staring:). I'm the only one in my family who doesn't play anything, even though my younger boy has been pushing me to learn piano. I told him that I'll be content to be the "designated audience" for their performances.
Well, well, let me guess. I think what 昭君 and twocentsworth really want to brag about is not about music instruments. You are all proud of your having two sons and a very good hubby. :)
Since we’re in the bragging spirit, 我也来凑热闹吧! My older son plays the viola, and my younger one plays the cello. Both are also accomplished piano players.
Duosi: Wow, there seem to be so many talented people in your family (I remember you mentioned once that your niece is a Economics professor at Yale, and your nephew has a Ph.D. in engineering). No wonder you have such broad interests!
Coolboy: Actually I like both. My older boy plays violin (so does my hubby), and my younger one is playing piano now. I was much more interested in violin pieces before the younger on estarted piano. Now I'm "torn":).
