【Aiden in English】 I've never seen a singer with actual talent sing in front of my eyes. That is, until I went to a friend's house for tonight's karaoke party in Blue Bell, PA. There, I saw what an actual performance sounded like. It was loud! And I've experienced resonance, considering having a baby cousin and sitting in a band with the percussion right behind me. Trust me, you don't want to be near the gigantic bass drum. The party had a perfect setting that would lend itself well to karaoke. To make it impressive, the party took place in the large basement. The speakers looked the size of a giant pillow, so the sound bounced off the wall like racquetballs. The basement was filled with a blast, and people as soon as the party started. It was so loud that I couldn't think clearly. The air was sizzling with the waves of pop music and enthusiasm. The thrumming bass vibrated throughout the room as music poured out of the speakers, accompanied by the ruckus. The adults were unaffected at all. They indulged their passion and enjoyed it very much while my ears were falling off. It is just like me and American pop, the best songs in the world. As much as I play classical music, American pop surpassed everything by a mile, except for electronic music. That's a close 2nd. All I can say is that people have different opinions, and for us, pop music rocks. 【红霞译】
我从未近距离观赏才华横溢的歌唱家献艺，直到今晚在宾州蓝铃小城熟人主办的卡拉OK聚会上总算大开眼界。这下我才明白什么叫真正的表演，那可是惊天动地﹗其实对于响声我早有体验，不仅家里有位叽叽喳喳的小不点表妹，而且自己的乐队站位恰好身居打击乐之前。相信我没错，你说什么也不能贴近大低音鼓。 凡与卡拉OK有关的时髦东西，聚会上应有尽有。这还不算，卡拉OK场地又被设置在地下室，音箱大小看上去像个巨型枕头，释放出来的声音经墙壁反射回来响彻整个空间，犹如美式壁球钪锵有力。 聚会一旦开始，地下室立刻人声鼎沸，弄得我一时不知所措。富于动感的流行歌曲与饱满激扬的演唱情绪交织在一起，低音音响发出节奏强烈的轰鸣声回旋于地下室内外，叔叔阿姨们完全适应这种令我感到震耳欲聋的喧嚣氛围，全部沉浸在欢声笑语之中，正如我热衷领导世界新潮流的美国流行歌曲。虽然本人演奏古典音乐，但我更偏爱美国流行歌曲以及紧随其后的电子乐。 看来萝卜白菜各有所爱，有一点英雄所见略同，那就是彼此都酷爱流行音乐。
