【注】加拿大紐芬蘭“新大陸”省的東海岸步道之所以舉世聞名，是因為它沿着阿瓦隆“蘋果”半島(Avalon Peninsula)將人煙稀少的荒野小徑與歷史悠久的海灣社區融為一體，涵蓋高聳的懸崖、深邃的峽灣、茂密的植被、搶眼的礁柱、奇特的海拱、上鏡的海洞……，到目前為止，全長總計209英里/336公里。限於逗留時間，我只能包抄眼前這個傳奇之城最引以為豪的信號山和北美洲最東端的斯皮爾“希望”角。
