【注】“哥倫布公園在哪？”我手握定位失靈的谷歌導航，站在運河街與百老匯交道口，把目光投向眼前正熱情指揮早高峰過往行人、看似印度裔的交通警身上。

“你找孫中山？”他會意地笑着問。

我喜出望外！按照活地圖的指示，我不僅見着了中華民國的開國元勛，而且還遇到了春秋時期的孔老夫子，並重新走進了既熟悉又陌生位於曼哈頓下城的華埠及小意大利城。

最近離家較近的費城華埠開了一家連鎖店——“江南”中餐館，自稱演繹出傳統與創新融合的美食交響曲，對吳地一帶江南菜系情有獨鐘的我來說，這次北上紐約正想領略“江南”大本營正宗的徐海、淮揚、金陵和蘇幫等風味，哪怕浙菜或徽菜也成。不出所料地，“江南”中餐館只是儒雅別號而非特色烹飪，它側重的融合多於傳統，譬如：北京烤鴨、四川水煮魚、新疆孜然羊、廣東白切雞等非江南風味特色菜引領菜譜食潮流，歸根結底“江南”中餐館以市場需求為導向，誰叫正宗的蘇菜響油鱔糊無法打動紐約仔的味蕾呢?

2010年，華埠與小意大利城被納入《美國國家歷史遺蹟名錄》。
