                夜裡下了小雪，像霜打一樣。

                陰沉地，記者直面

                清新透涼、寒氣逼人，

                直覺寒氣逼人，超乎

                疲憊感，強過

                睏乏勁，清醒迫於

                寒氣，雙眼泛紅，視線模煳，

                但標新立異的完美，

                超越新聞的共識，

                含混的吐字低回在

                露台的寒風下。

【注】排燈節是印度教一年中最大的節日，燈火、團圓、祈願——這些關鍵詞穿越不同的信仰與文化，在人類的節日裡悄然相通。據說它相當於中國的春節，或美國的聖誕節，承載着相似的情感重量。

今晚回家途中，路經時代廣場時，意外撞見成群結隊的印裔同胞匯聚在這個世界的十字路口。五彩的沙麗在霓虹燈下流動，金色的飾品在夜色中閃爍，空氣中飄着咖喱與甜點的香氣。音樂響起，人們起舞，笑聲在每一張臉上綻放——我瞬間迷失在這場寶萊塢“孟買好萊塢”式的狂歡里，仿佛穿越了半個地球，置身於孟買“母親”或德里“門戶”的街頭。

而這裡，是紐約“新紫衫樹之地”。我站在人群邊緣，看着一個穿紗麗的小女孩在父親肩頭隨着音樂搖晃，她的笑聲像一粒被風揚起的種子，落進我這異鄉人的耳朵里。那一刻我忽然明白：節日讓一座城市暫時長出另一片土地的呼吸。那些燈火不是為了照亮街道，是為了讓離鄉的人能在異國的夜色里，辨認出故鄉的形狀。我不是印度教徒，也不懂那些祈願的經文，可當音樂停下，人群仍在三三兩兩地擁抱、合影、互道祝福——那種屬於“家”的溫度，不需要翻譯。
