【注】洛里昂“東方”始於17世紀中葉，不過是個小小的貿易站，經營東方的瓷器與香料。誰曾想，這座因殖民而生的小港，會成長為集軍港、漁港、商港、客運港、遊艇港於一體的“五港之城”——像一隻伸向大西洋的手掌，五指張開，每一條指縫裡都流着歷史。

港口周圍，石牆斑駁，錨鏈鏽蝕，倉庫褪色。它們沉默地記着遠征印度的冒險、深海捕魚的艱辛、二戰留下的疤痕，以及凱爾特“高地”民族重新抬頭的驕傲。而其中最大的遺物，是那座德國潛艇基地——納粹“大西洋壁壘”的一部分，陰森而堅固。1945年洛里昂解放後，它被法國海軍改建，用於駐紮核潛艇；冷戰結束後，它再度轉型，成了遊客穿梭的去處。一座建築，從敵人到盟友，從戰爭到和平，濃縮了一部歐洲史。

我坐在船上，遠遠望着這座被晨霧包裹的城市。軍港肅穆，漁港繁忙，商港喧囂，客運港人潮湧動，遊艇港桅杆林立——五個港口依次展開，像一首未完成的組曲。而那艘潛艇基地，像一頭沉睡的巨獸匍匐在海灣一角，戰爭留下的傷痕與和平時期的塗鴉並肩而立。那一瞬間，我想起所有曾經在此的士兵、水手、離鄉者，他們的腳步聲已被海風帶走，但石壁記住了他們的影子——不是以名字，而是以回聲。而我在那段回聲的上方航行，發現自己也正成為它悠長餘響中一個尚未成型的音節。潮水正漫過船底，向着一個沒有邊界的答案，持續地流去。
