【注】素以“兄弟之爱”闻名于世的费城在12月13—14日的暴风雪过后，迅速成为美东走廊降雪量最大的城市，而我们所在的周边地区更以8英寸/20公分的降雪量高居榜首，整个社区被厚厚的积雪覆盖，仿佛按下了暂停键。

因为周一要回宾夕法尼亚“山林”州洗牙，纽约仔赶在大雪前夜——周六晚上赶回了家。星期天下午，他懒觉醒来，望着窗外银装素裹的世界，顺手抄起铁锨，开始了独自的清雪工程。雪很厚，铲起来并不轻松。没干多久，隔了三道门的一位邻居走上来自告奋勇，主动提出帮忙。

说时迟那时快，一台除雪机轰鸣着打头阵，侧面的车道、前院的人行道、房前的石板路，很快就在机器与人力的配合下被清理得干干净净。工程结束时，纽约仔本想略表酬谢之意，未料这位年近古稀的“雪天使”话匣子大开，甚至引用《圣经》中不求回报、助人为乐的经文，他愿“凭信仰行善”，活出“上帝的诫命”。

那一刻，寒风依旧，心里却涌上一股暖意。
