Worms frown, are full of mouths, Bite, twitch their ears… The maker of the alphabet Had a headache. —— • —— • —— • —— • —— • —— • —— • —— 【《頭昏腦脹》(1913-1915?)】 華萊士·史蒂文斯“異鄉人·花環”(1879生—1955卒) 【紅霞譯】 字母表中的字母 代表頭顱各個部位。 耳朵是q L是兩眼之間的皺紋 出現在蹙眉時。 鼻孔與鼻梁 是p或b。 嘴巴是o。 頭髮里有字母。 蚯蚓眉頭緊鎖、滿嘴都是、 濃香、抽動耳朵…… 字母表的創造者 頭昏腦脹。 【注】2002年畢業於柯蒂斯“優雅”音樂學院1的朗朗每年都會回到費城“兄弟之愛”巡演。今晚，金梅爾“香菜種”表演藝術中心座無虛席，我們一行11人親臨現場，見識他閃電般的觸鍵與戲劇化的鍵盤跳躍——每一次敲擊都仿佛在琴鍵上點燃火花。福雷2“鐵匠”的《帕凡“莊嚴舞曲”·作品50》低沉莊嚴，舒曼3“鞋匠”的《克萊斯勒“旋轉的陀螺”狂想曲·作品16》在狂亂與溫柔之間遊走，肖邦4“好鬥者”的《瑪祖卡“民族舞曲”》帶着民族的血脈與個人的呼吸，依次在指尖鋪展。 正式曲目結束，掌聲如潮水般不肯退去。朗朗被返場五次：索伊5(筆名)夢幻般的《無言的浪漫》水聲、迪士尼的怪趣、拉赫曼尼諾夫7“深皮膚”的《帕格尼尼主題變奏曲》憂鬱與激情、格什溫8“旅居者”揉進爵士的《藍色狂想曲》夜色——最後一首，是江蘇的《茉莉花》。琴聲一起，我身後一個華裔孩子不自覺地跟着哼唱起來。那聲音很小，軟軟的，卻讓整個大廳忽然靜了下來。 我坐在那裡，眼裡有些發熱。音樂這東西，確實不需要翻譯——它自己會找到人心。但那一瞬間，我忽然明白，朗朗的《茉莉花》和孩子的哼唱之間，隔着的不只是時間與技藝，還有一條無形的線：一頭拴着江南的水鄉，另一頭系在這座美國音樂廳的暗紫色座椅上。聲音從琴鍵出發，穿過16排座椅，落進一個孩子的喉嚨，再輕輕地飄出來——那一小截旋律，像一顆被遞過兩代人的種子，在異國的燈光下，安靜地發了芽。 好一朵茉莉花， 滿園花開香也香不過它。 我有心采一朵戴， 又怕看花的人兒罵。 …… 1.
