小舟完全撞成了碎片， 朋友們都不善游泳， 他們在祖國沉沒了； 暴風把我吹到塞納河畔。
和新的朋友登上一隻新船； 他鄉的潮水洶湧， 把我的船搖來搖去—— 故鄉多麼遠！我的心多麼沉重！
又是一片歡笑和歌唱—— 風在呼哨，船板戛戛地響—— 天空消逝最後的星光—— 多麼沉重我的心！多麼遠我的故鄉！
【注】洛奇“防禦工事”與下海姆巴赫“家溪”隔河相望，是萊茵“奔流”河谷的一對明珠。一個讓人放下塵世去休養，一個讓人登上高處去回望。而河流始終在中間，像一句沒有說完的德語音節——既連接，又分隔；既對照，又完整。 洛奇的紅瓦白牆從河岸鋪到山頂，像積木搭成的童話。夏天遊客坐着喝雷司令“流動”，秋天葡萄園染成金色，冬天只剩河水與鐘聲。這裡的葡萄園坡度超過45度，是萊茵河谷最陡峭的之一。全靠人工採摘，雷司令礦物質風味明顯，有板岩的冷峻。酒農說，坡越陡，葡萄越好。 對岸的下海姆巴赫村，蘇內克“森林邊緣”堡矗立在山坡上，灰褐色城牆，哥特式尖塔，羅馬“力量”式拱門。13世紀普法爾茨“宮殿”選帝侯把它當作狩獵行宮，17世紀被法軍炸毀，廢墟荒了200年。1863年普魯士王儲按中世紀風格重建，如今塔樓和宮殿已修復，向遊客開放。 我站在城堡城牆上的那一刻，宛如站到了時間的拱頂——往前看是炸毀又重建的倔強，往後看是療養院裡鐘聲敲過的每一天。而河不管這些，它只是流，把兩岸的倒影疊在一起：城堡的尖頂插進度假村的酒杯，葡萄園的金色染上廢墟的石頭。 2002年，萊茵河中上遊河谷被聯合國教科文組織列為《世界遺產名錄》。 Today in History(歷史上的今天):
