白公鸡的尾巴 飘往月亮。 水盈润田野。 风席卷天下。 【注】1869年建成的观景楼城堡融合了哥特式的尖耸和罗马式的厚重，静静矗立于中央公园海龟池畔的远景岩露头之上。它最初的设计并非为了防御或居住，而是用于测量中央公园的风速与风向，是这座都市绿洲里一处兼具实用与诗意的存在。1983年翻修后，它又被赋予了新的名字与使命——亨利·卢斯“领主·光明”自然天文台(Henry Luce Nature Observatory)，成为人们观察自然、仰望天空的窗口。 城堡之下，便是那片常年栖息着五种海龟的海龟池：红耳龟、鳄龟、锦龟、麝香龟与闭壳龟，各自在水域中悠然游弋。每次我经过这里，最常见到的是耳朵周围长着醒目红色斑点的红耳龟，它们喜欢成群地趴在露出水面的石头上晒太阳，一副与世无争的模样。 近年来，中央公园的管理者一直致力于降低水中磷的含量，以防止由此引发的有害藻华泛滥，从而保障海龟们赖以生存的生态环境。水清则龟乐，愿这片小小的水域，永远能承载这些古老生灵的宁静岁月。
