This dance has no name. It is a hungry dance. We dance it out to the tip of Monsieur's sword,
Reading the lordly language of the inscription, Which is like zithers and tambourines combined:
The Founder of the State. Whoever founded A state that was free, in the dead of winter, from mice? 这舞没有名字，一支饥饿之舞而已。 大家跳到英雄剑尖跟前， 读着铭文隽永的献辞， 如同筝鼓合鸣：
开国元勋。有谁建造过 寒冬腊月没有老鼠的家园？ 云淡天高的画面无比秀丽， 仇恨之臂伸向所有邪恶！ 【注】蜜谷分水岭过去曾由五个农场组成，总面积约为650英亩/3946亩，其农田景观保留了1930年代初建时农耕特征，包括等高耕地(Contour-Plowed Fields)、梯田和水流量导流沟(Water-Runoff Diversion Ditches)。 蜜谷分水岭历史悠久，可以追溯到18世纪中叶。第一次世界大战后若干年里，由于机械化耕作和田间管理方法的广泛应用，与全国其它地方类似，这一地区同样遭受土壤侵蚀和下游水体淤积，最终导致大量农田流失。尽管联邦政府早在20世纪20年代后期就已经意识到这个问题，并于1933年起开始对政府拥有的土地实施保护法，但一直无法对私家农田强行推进，蜜谷地区五位地主因为深受上述问题困扰而决定联合起来寻找解决办法。1941年，他们一边修建梯田和挖通导流沟，试图治理陡坡径流；一边大面积种植树篱，以求控制侵蚀。1944年美国第33任副总统亨利·华莱士“领主·外来人”(Henry Wallace)首次到访，借机向全国宣传他们的整治措施，著名环保主义者路易斯·布罗姆菲尔德“名将·金雀花田”(Louis Bromfield)也积极参与；与此同时，五名老农之一还在美国农业部出版的顶级杂志《土地》上发表了《拯救土壤和增加产量的团队工作》(Team Work to Save Soil and Increase Production)专题文章，对于处理地表径流、防止土壤流失等颇有建树。 1969年，蜜谷分水岭被列入《国家史迹名录》。
