School is a sore subject for most kids, and even the word carries around groans and sighs. Kids are bored at school for the majority of the time, and learning seems like torture. So, many kids don’t like to wake up and go to school just because they have to learn or are too lazy, even though they know their parents are still going to force them. What you don’t know is how easy getting to the bus stop on time is with this simple process.
Getting to the bus stop well before the bus comes should be pretty simple for kids, but the new generation has a lot of different factors to consider. Most of them are lazy and aren’t disciplined enough to force themselves to wake up on their own. This is why alarm clocks were invented, and a very good function of some alarm clocks is the snooze bar. It would prevent any dozing back off to the sight of darkness outside and the coziness of the blankets. So the first step to waking up early, and probably the most crucial and difficult one, is to get an alarm clock. If a good, solid loud ring or beep from an alarm clock isn’t enough to jolt you into reality, then I don’t know what will. Set the alarm at least half an hour away from the time your school bus arrives to give some breathing room in between. Sometimes, when people see how much time they have, they go right back to the dream world and oversleep. To avoid this situation, fling off the blankets. The crisp, cold morning air of the house should shock you into action like no other, but if you are reluctant to try this, your alternative is to have Mom come busting into the room with a karate kick. Once you are up and going, get dressed quickly. The best piece of advice I can give you here is to pick out your clothes the night before so there isn’t any delay or thinking involved. Kids really don’t like considering options at the crack of dawn, and I’m no different. The next step in the morning process should be one of the longest. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, providing the kick-start to the challenges to come. This step shouldn’t have too much urgency, but chewing like a cow doesn’t make the bus come any earlier. So take the majority of your time if necessary, and once finished, move on to brushing your teeth and washing up. This step varies from person to person because some enjoy taking a quick five-minute shower, while others like to brush their teeth as soon as they wake up to erase the bad, morning breath. If what you want to do has other additional stuff added than what I included in this process, then feel free to slip it in somewhere in the morning, but just don’t forget to give yourself a few extra minutes on the timer. Once you’re ready, take your school bag, which to save time should be packed the day before, and walk outside to your bus stop. If this process is perfected, then that bus will seem to come a lot later than previously thought.
Children have a natural personality to be lazy, and waking up early to get to school isn’t any different. Sometimes, raising your head off the pillow seems like an impossible task, but if this process is done, you can avoid oversleeping and get to the bus on time. Sleeping and delaying school might be appealing, but being tardy is the price that you will pay for dozing back off or not having the urgency in the morning. It’s just a matter of not being lazy, living with the fact that there is school, and waking up to the sound of the alarm.
