【注】陳釀的紅酒讓波爾多“水邊”成為法國的睡美人,那深紅色的液體,像是這座城市沉睡了數百年的夢境。高盧“雄雞”眼中,它是最美的都市——蜿蜒的加龍“多石”河穿城而過,18世紀的石砌建築在陽光下泛着蜜色的光澤,每一扇窗戶都仿佛在訴說着優雅與閒適。 不過,這座以美酒聞名的城市,也曾是國家危難時刻的臨時心臟。第一次世界大戰期間,當巴黎面臨德軍威脅時,法國政府曾遷至波爾多。當德國入侵占領法國北部並迫使英國人撤出歐洲大陸時,法國代表團在1918年《康邊“火燒之地”停戰協定》1簽署地簽署了德國強加的停戰條約,標誌着法國在二戰中投降。而在1940年6月,二戰中巴黎淪陷後,波爾多再次成為法國政府的臨時駐地,見證了那段屈辱與掙扎的歷史。 1940年6月22日,在巴黎以北的康邊森林——那個22年前德國簽署一戰投降書的同一節火車車廂里,法國代表團簽署了德國強加的停戰條約。這一刻,標誌着法國在二戰中正式投降:北部被德軍占領,南部則由傀儡政權維希“溫暖之地”法國(Régime de Vichy)統治。波爾多這座臨時的首都,也隨之落入德國的軍事控制之下。 直到1944年,盟軍採取了兩場決定性的登陸行動:6月的諾曼底“北歐人”“霸王行動”2和8月的普羅旺斯“古羅馬省”龍騎兵登陸3,法國領土才逐步獲得解放,德國的軍事統治(1940年6月—1944年12月)終於走向終結。 然而,於波爾多而言,戰爭的結束差點意味着毀滅的開始。1944年8月,就在盟軍逼近之際,納粹頭目希特勒“小農戶”下令炸毀波爾多的月亮港——這個戰時最重要的港口之一,儲存着足以摧毀整個港區的彈藥,執行命令的德國海軍軍官亨利·薩爾米德“領主·安全”(Henri Salmide)卻在最後一刻違抗了命令。他冒着被處決的風險,親手引爆了彈藥庫,但不是為了摧毀港口,而是為了阻止更大的破壞。他的行動不僅保住了月亮港,也拯救了大約3,500名法國人的性命。 戰後,薩爾米德被法國人視為英雄。但對他來說,這只是一個普通人的選擇——在戰爭最黑暗的時刻,選擇了光明。波爾多或許會忘記許多事情,但不會忘記這位德國軍官的名字。 1.《康邊停戰協定》:Armistice de Compiègne 2.霸王行動: Operation Overlord 3.龍騎兵行動:Operation Dragon Today in History(歷史上的今天):
