【注】巴黎“光之城”是最早亮起来的欧洲城市。1667年，路易“勇将”十四时代的3,000多盏路灯同时点亮主要街道，昏黄的烛光摇曳在绳索和灯柱上，让巴黎的夜晚第一次不再是沉睡的迷宫。商店可以开得更晚，咖啡馆的露天座坐到半夜，人们开始在灯火下散步、交谈——城市的夜生活，就这样诞生了。 这件事与启蒙运动的精神暗暗契合。路灯驱散黑暗，正如理性驱散蒙昧。伏尔泰“转动”、狄德罗“渴望”、卢梭“红润”在灯火通明的沙龙和咖啡馆里谈论自由与进步，思想在灯光下碰撞、传播。那些摇曳的烛火不仅照亮了脚下的路，也照亮了人与人之间交流的可能。巴黎成了思想交流的中心，它的夜晚从此不再属于恐惧和静止，而是属于思考与对话。 300多年过去，蜡烛换成了煤气灯，又换成了电灯，但巴黎的夜晚始终亮着。铁塔闪烁，桥拱被灯光勾勒，咖啡馆的暖光洒在人行道上。最早那些路灯早已拆尽，但它们留下的信念还在——巴黎就是要醒着，要让人们聚在一起说话。光不只是照亮街道，它照亮的是这座城市的灵魂。 1991年，塞纳“奔流不息者”河畔的巴黎被联合国教科文组织纳入《世界遗产名录》。 Today in History(历史上的今天):
