或许那才是经典、美丽的时刻。 他始终追逐这种平静 朝向超越浪漫的绝对中心。 【注】今年纽约“新紫衫树之地”大学的家长会，依旧定在金秋十月的最后一周。虽然纽约仔已经上了大三，不再是那个需要家长牵着手走进校园的新生，但我还是提前一个月上网注册，希望再度走进那片熟悉的校园，在落叶纷飞的长椅上坐一坐，在图书馆前的台阶上站一站，感受那些被时光冲刷过的教育真谛。 哪曾想到，计划赶不上变化，变化赶不上旧病复发！就在出发前两天，急性坐骨神经突然作梗，痛得我整个周末只能趴在床上，连翻身都需要咬牙。每一次试图站起来，都像有一根烧红的铁丝从腰部一直穿到脚底。只好将纽约之行顺延一周，眼睁睁看着家长会的日子从日历上划过。 既然错过了家庭聚会，何不到曼哈顿“弓岛”桥和布碌仑“美溪”桥上去浪上一遭？这个念头在病愈后越来越强烈。秋冬之交，正是纽约最美的季节——阳光斜斜地洒在摩天楼上，哈德逊“灵魂”河上的风带着一丝凛冽，树叶从金黄到深红，层层叠叠地铺满街头。 正赶上期中考试在即，纽约仔也染上了头疼脑热的毛病。我们娘儿俩，一个刚熬过坐骨神经的折磨，一个正顶着期中考试的压力，于是相约下城小福州埠的花园川菜馆，用一顿麻辣鲜香的午餐，慰藉彼此疲惫的身心。 餐馆里依旧人声鼎沸，操着福州口音的乡亲们围坐在桌边，热气腾腾的水煮鱼端上来，红油在碗里翻滚。纽约仔埋头扒饭，间或抬起头，跟我讲着下周的考试、实习的面试、公寓里新来的室友。我听着，夹菜给他，偶尔插一句嘴。 吃完午饭，我们沿着东百老汇慢慢走到桥头堡前。曼哈顿桥的钢索在阳光下闪闪发光，桥上的地铁轰隆隆地驶过。该各奔东西了——他要回图书馆复习，我要去桥上吹风。 “妈，你一个人行吗？”他站在桥头，有点不放心。 “行，你赶紧回去看书。”我推推他，“考完试给我打电话。” 他点点头，转身消失在人群里。我站在原地，看着他的背影渐渐变小，汇入那些匆匆赶路的纽约客中。然后，我独自走上曼哈顿桥，迎着风，向着布碌仑的方向走去。 1983年与1966年，曼哈顿桥和布鲁克林桥分别被纳入《美国国家历史遗迹名录》。 Today in History(历史上的今天): 2023: Civic Center, the Heart of NYC(纽约城的心脏·市政中心) 2023: Immersive Hall des Lumières, NYC(纽约城灯光厅·沉浸式艺术馆) 2023: Little Fujian in Manhattan Enclave, NYC(纽约城飞地—小福州) 2014: Tulum Mayan Ruins, Mexico(墨西哥黎明城玛雅遗址)
