The 4th Street Pool in Lansdale is probably among the best community pools ever. Last time, I couldn't go on the best slide there because no one would offer the qualified test. Today, a counselor gave me the test, which was easier than easy. I swam approximately 50 yards/45.7 meters, then treaded water for two minutes. As soon as I passed, I bolted for the blue slide. The blue slide drops a child into the deep end from 3 feet (0.9 meters) above the ground. It is so cool. I was instantly addicted, and it was probably the closest I would ever come to flying. And at the very moment you drop, your body seems to float in slow motion. The ride always made me feel better, and I would even call it relaxing. We also challenged our friends to race down two slides side by side. I couldn't say I was the fastest, but I certainly wasn't the slowest. Just as fast as we flew out of the slide, time flew, too. In what felt like minutes, it went from 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. Unfortunately, all things have an end, so this one came to an end, whether I liked it or not. 【紅霞譯】
蘭斯代爾“四街戲水池”可能是社區級最好的戲水池之一，上次我因沒有資格考試而未能享受風光無限的水上漂流。這回輔導員負責監考，考試本身比較容易，先來一段大約50碼／45.7米遠的游泳，接着踩水兩分鐘。剛通過全部測驗，我如離弦的弓箭迅速消失在藍色漂流之中。
藍色漂流將人從3英尺／0.9米高處沖向池底，感覺很酷，我即刻玩上了癮，這大概叫我覺得最像在空中飛翔，下沉入水前那一瞬間，整個身體好似慢慢漂浮。每來過一回，我都倍感愉悅輕鬆，夥伴們更是你追我趕競相爭先，我不算最快、但絕非最慢的一位。 我們漂流得越歡，光陰過得越快，仿佛度年如日，眨眼的功夫，時間從下午一點一刻跳至兩點三刻，路再遠終有盡頭，事再好終有結束，漂流同樣如此，無論我喜歡與否。
