【Aiden in English】 Math24 isn't a well-known game around the globe. It requires skill and speed which I have. This is why I was one of the selective competitors who represented Montgomery to participate Math24 Tournament among 10 elementary schools in the North Penn School District this year. On the way, my head was about to explode. If every school had the players like my school, I would be in a sticky situation. But it wasn't the case. Round 1: 43 points; Round 2: 42 points; Round 3: 37 points. Since each deck of cards had 50ish points in total, getting anything around 40 was spectacular in each round. And that was how I won the tournament. Every round, I was in the game on the ball. You may say it was "on fire", which was how I felt in the heat of the competition. The 1st place was all mine.
However, what made this a truly amazing victory was that I toppled 2nd place by a square of 22 points. Yet I wasn't happy too much. Last year, a 6th grader called J. P. held the record with a whopping 131 points. Today, I fell short barely. But I have a chance to challenge what he had archived at his age next year. There is hope and I will definitely strive to beat his record. I know I will.
