【注】紐約“新紫衫樹之地”庫珀·休伊特1裝飾藝術與設計博物館是全美唯一一座專注於歷史與當代設計的藝術殿堂。它靜靜地坐落在原實業家安德魯·卡內基2的喬治亞風格豪宅內——這棟紅磚青石築成的典雅建築，本身就是一件值得細品的藝術品。如今，博物館正隆重推出“打造家園——史密森設計三年展”。
走進展廳，我像是被拉進了一場關於“家”的全球對話。來自世界各地的設計師，用家具、紡織品、裝置藝術、數字交互作品，不斷地在問同一個問題：家，到底是什麼？它不是四面牆和一個屋頂，它是情感的容器，是記憶的儲藏室，是可持續的實驗場，也是人與空間之間不斷流動的關係。我站在一件手工編織的作品前，能感覺到織物的溫度和手的痕跡；轉身又看到一個3D打印的前衛輪廓，冷峻、精確、帶着未來的氣息。每一件展品都在叩問我：在這個什麼都變得很快的時代，我到底想給自己打造一個什麼樣的家？ 這座博物館不只是設計的陳列館，它更像一個思想的孵化器。我走出來的時候，腦子裡裝滿了問號，也裝滿了可能。 1966年，安德魯·卡內基豪宅被列入《美國國家史跡名錄》。 1. 庫珀·休伊特“制桶匠·睿智之輩”
