         How many times have I waited for you 

         at the station in the cold, in the fog. 

         I walked gnawing, buying 

         unmentionable newspapers, 

         smoking Juba then suppressed 

         by the Minister of tobacco, the fool! 

       Maybe a wrong train, duplication, or a subtraction. 

         I scanned the barrows of porters, 

         if ever there was inside your luggage, 

         and you behind, late. 

         Then he appeared last. 

         It is a thing among many others. 

         In the dream haunts me.

              常常等候着你

              在车站冷冷的雾中。

              踱步徘徊，咳嗽，买着

              抽凯巴烟，最后被卖烟的老板

              责骂，这呆子！

              许是错误的列车，许是多余的章节

              或许是一个取消了的……

              我原与搬运工的台车同行

              去看看你的小行李是否在那儿

              而你，在后头迟迟地来临

              你终于迟迟地来临了！

              这是许多记忆中的一个，

              却在梦中苦苦地将我缠绕。
