【Aiden in English】 I never was a big fan of rollercoasters. Due to a small stomach and being an immature little kid, I really didn’t enjoy the loopy-de-loops. But, eventually, I grew over that fear luckily in elementary school, going on Space Mountain, and many Disney rides guaranteed a quick learning experience. By middle school, the school district partially expects all students to be okay with rollercoasters. However, it was not committed to the chance that every student could ride rollercoasters, so they picked Hershey Park to include other activities like the water park just in case on the field day. I prepared for both parks, which turned out bad as the day wasn’t warm or sunny. But, on the bright side, more rollercoasters. Arriving at school early in the morning, Hagey Coaches picked up all 8th-grade participating students. The field trip to Hershey was somewhat uneventful, as all of us were anticipating the upcoming day. This day was an example of why large public schools were, to me, beneficial; you don’t have a chaperone glancing over your shoulder every second of the “independent” time. Pennbrook does it the smart way. They essentially let us do whatever we find the use of our time, and don’t really care until something bad occurs. That also means some people just walk around in the stores all day.
The group of friends I went with was very smart. Knowing how lines tend to grow longer as the day drags on, we’d better ride the more popular rides first. The waits were all within twenty minutes, so the first hour was filled with fun, twisting flips on all kinds of coasters. From the highest drop in the park to the Super-Duper-Looper (such a weird name), time flew by faster than the rollercoasters. I rediscovered the thrill of death by testing the limits. To be honest, I have no idea why rollercoasters are even allowed. Not only do they put all riders at risk for injury, but even after facing death, the rider gains no benefits. I guess riding roller coasters gives bragging rights, but that’s like saying to a friend how many razors you ate for breakfast. Because it’s stupid, I think kids love it. It is unconventional for the older generation, so this is the way the younger generation goes.
Lunch was interesting, to say the least. Because of the lack of experience, purchasing food was somewhat of a new concept to all eighth-graders. As a result, we bought way too much junk food and essentially wrecked our stomachs. This convinced us to not go on any more rides for the day, so we waited an hour or so, walking around the park, and taking a metro to see the full area. It was nice.
And the highlight to close off the day was a trip to the chocolate store. Hershey’s, if you don’t know, is best known for its chocolate. Therefore, it is mandatory to buy something from its store. However, I don’t mean to blow a hundred bucks on candy, which a friend of mine did. I, on the other hand, looked for items unique to Hershey, like a bag of mocha Hershey Kisses. This single item sums up this entire trip, truly. It was a sweet adventure, unique to this park, and a memory I’m taking home and possibly much further into the future.

Today in History(历史上的今天): 2016: Fallingwater, PA(宾州落水山莊) 2016: Ohiopyle State Park, PA(宾州俄亥俄溪州立公园) 2015: Category─Kelly the Beast(分类文─野兽凯莉)
