2022-12-01 Day Without Art Day 【Who Are We?】 We are Isomer Space Program, a team of college students in New York City who are launching our first satellite, CoyoteSat, into space! We are passionate about advancing small spacecraft technology and hope to inspire students of all backgrounds to pursue their aerospace dreams. 【What is a Cube Satellite?】 A CubeSat is a type of miniature satellite that is accessible to students due to its low cost, small form factor, and educational benefits. CoyoteSat is about 10 cm x 10 cm x 11 cm (roughly the size of a tissue box) and has a mass of only 1.4 kg. Learn More 【Our Mission】 Our inaugural mission will be a 1U CubeSat (1.4kg, 10cm x 10cm x 11cm) that focuses on attitude determination in low-Earth orbit (LEO) and the Cosmic Watch goal of gamma-ray detection. 【Altitude Determination】 CoyoteSat will incorporate an inertial measurement unit calculated by sun and horizon sensors, gyroscopes, accelerometers, and magnetometers. 【Gamma-Ray Detection】 Our primary payload will be a customized Cosmic Watch Muon Detector, which will record the effects of gamma-ray cosmic radiation in the Lower Earth Orbit. CoyoteSat will also collect data from an array of light, temperature, and attitude sensors. 【Cost-Effective Strategy】 Furthermore, the CubeSat will be made entirely of consumer-off-the-shelf parts which drastically reduces costs and allows for rapid development. 【How Can You Help?】 As a non-profit student-led program, any support is deeply appreciated. 【Kickstarter】 The best way to help our cause is to support our Kickstarter.
