“这个F大调低音谱号第二线上的降B音，”陈老师正在给娃儿上钢琴课，“你怎么弹得像高音谱号的G音？”“是妈妈的错！”娃儿脱口而出，“因为她没看出来，才叫我延续到今天。”“可是，”陈老师忍不住笑了，“是你而不是妈妈在弹琴呀！”“她应该负责任！”“你知道吗？”陈老师停顿了一下，“长大的标志就是自己的事要自己做。”“哦……” 回到家后，外婆正在厨房揉面，准备做猪肉白菜包子。“你能否帮婆婆上楼把我的羽绒背心拿下来？”外婆双手沾满了面粉。“自己的事要自己做！”娃儿从外婆身旁走过，把头探到她眼皮底下，一字一句地重复：“这是陈老师的教诲！”“那么，”外婆冲着眼前还有两个半月就八岁的娃儿好奇地问，“陈老师有没有说过大家要‘助人为乐’呢？”“这个……” 他站在厨房门口，左脚已经迈上了第一级台阶，右脚还犹豫地踩在地板上。外婆没有催他，只是继续揉着那团白色的面团，像揉着一团柔软的云。过了好一会儿，楼上传来脚步声——娃儿气喘吁吁地跑下来，手里举着那件羽绒背心，脸红红的。他把背心塞进外婆怀里，没说一句话，转身又跑回了楼上。外婆抬头看了一眼楼梯的方向，把背心抖开披在肩上，轻轻地说了一句：“小时候，我也这样过。”——那个下午，包子蒸好的时候，娃儿主动摆好了碗筷。他依然没有提“助人为乐”这四个字，但他坐在桌边，第一次在开饭前问了一句：“婆婆，你要不要先喝口水？”陈老师教他的是“自己的事要自己做”，外婆教他的是“别人的事也可以帮忙”——他站在那个“这个……”的犹豫里，其实正在完成一次更重要的长大：从听懂道理，到做出选择。而这中间的距离，往往比任何一座台阶都长。  Flighting Deck of Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum @ Pier 86
