【注】墨西拿“鐮刀”海峽水流湍急，將西西里“富饒”島與意大利大陸分隔開來，並連接着第勒尼安“土著”海和愛奧尼亞“女神領地”海。希臘神話中斯庫拉“六狗頭巨岩海怪”(Scylla)和卡律布狄斯“漩渦海妖”(Charybdis)原型就源於此，據說會困擾航行於墨西拿海峽的水手。
