| | 2012-07-22 当今生活中，尽管人们能够随时用手机传递信息，可以到处上互联网沟通思想，但客居美国的各族同胞还是喜爱以家庭聚会的传统方式活络感情。节假日公休时间，邀请朋友到家里来长叙短聊，或者应邀前往朋友府上串门做客，男士们面对面狂吹海侃，女士们心贴心畅抒己见，孩儿们肩并肩撒欢尽兴，不光情感迸发得自然真切，而且友谊交融得深厚实在。 在家庭聚会中，一方面大家试图寻求轻松愉快的生活氛围，让自己暂时释放平常超负荷工作所产生的紧张情绪；另一方面良朋知己你来我往不断加深了解，人际关系将会日趋紧密。可以说，这是手机通讯和网络交流完全无法替代的直观互动渠道。无论把家庭聚会当成巩固人文基础的纽带，还是将家庭聚会视为发展友情的社交平台，不管从哪一个角度纵观家庭聚会，上述两种看法其实一点都不过份。 一年有春夏秋冬四季，除了官方公认的阳历年元旦、五月国殇节、七月独立节、九月劳工节、十一月感恩节、十二月圣诞节之外，民间流行的春节、元宵节、端午节、中秋节等黄道吉日，倍受我们旅居海外的炎黄子孙大加推崇。因此每逢这些日子，家庭聚会几乎此起彼伏，一茬紧接一茬。
撇开美东北部地区寒冷的冬季不说，一旦夏天暑假来临，亲朋好友常常把家庭聚会从室内挪到室外，娱乐内容和活动范围也随着视野的扩大和场地的改变而有着天壤之别，像户外野炊、水上派对、野营扎寨、急流漂筏等已经成为夏季家庭聚会中喜闻乐见的形式之一。
承蒙朋友立勇和晓丽夫妇厚意，我们六家廿多口子老中青少大队人马浩浩荡荡先后涌进枫林游泳俱乐部。该地位于宾州费城北郊，内由四个不同深度的露天游泳池组成，是一个主要为社区居民服务的水上娱乐场所，凡入会参加此俱乐部的成员，都可尽情享用其中任何消暑清凉设施。
就家庭聚会而言，烧烤、戏水、攀谈无不成为我们这次水上派对永恒的主题。
