是他，小伙子，造就、调制 最后的优雅，为的不是慰藉 也不是神化，而是直截了当地提议。 【注】上个世纪50年代，暗潮池上镇依然是一片尚未开发的农田，但宾州矿产资源丰富，石灰石矿开采成了城镇发展不可或缺的经济来源；著名的“强生”制药(Johnson & Johnson)、“标致兄弟”建筑商(Toll Brothers)、“环球系统”应收账款管理公司(Transworld Systems Inc)、“蜂蜜井”多元化高科技和制造业公司(Honey Well)、“活着系统”云端运算公司(Veeva Systems)、“头号门旅游”全球服务公司(Gate 1 Travel)等陆续加盟，让暗潮池上镇坐实了腾飞进程，正可谓“江山代有人才出，各领风骚数百年”。 遥想当年独立战争期间(1777年10月4日—12月11日)，大陆军在“日耳曼城战役”失利后但尚未向锻造谷(Valley Forge)进军前，农夫·华盛顿(George Washington)的总指挥部设置于此。 当然，暗潮池上镇的繁荣离不开魅力与恩赐公司(Keasbey and Mattison Company)的贡献，虽然这个世界最大的石棉生产厂家设在隔壁漫步者城(Ambler)，但其职工宿舍私家民宅几乎全部安置在方圆10里之内，涵盖暗潮池上镇，鼎鼎有名的建筑莫过于菩提树林城堡(Lindenwold Castle)，这是1890年石棉大亨斥巨资聘请意大利石匠和德国工匠打造的“宾州温莎城堡”(Winsor Castle in PA)，占地400亩。直到2019年，州政府才允许开发商推倒经年失修的菩提树林城堡，重新翻盖104座马车房(Carriage House，起价30万美元)和庄园住宅(Villa-Inspired Homes，叫价700万美元)。值得一提的，菩提树林城堡外菩提树林坡顶路(Lindenwold Terrace)上共有8栋胜利女王式建筑，每一套风格各异，都是当年石棉厂高管居住的别墅。 三一纪念圣公会教堂(Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church)始建于1901年，被誉为“美丽的窗户教堂”。然而，1986年6月16号的大火烧毁了主体建筑，只留下神父住宅及其它周边设施，可以说这个辉煌了85年的古老教堂纯“为燃烧而造”(built to burn)。幸运的是，两年后新的三一纪念圣公会教堂重新矗立在原址之上，雄厚的财力足以见证虔诚的格局，“萧瑟秋风今又是，换了人间”。 暗潮池上镇只有教友派庄园别墅(Quaker Manor House)被列入《国家史迹名录》(Natl. Register of Historic Places)。
