      My day was serene, my night was happy.

     My people always shouted for joy when I struck the lyre

      Of poetry. My song was lust and fire,

      Has kindled many beautiful clutches.

       My summer is still blooming, but still brought in

       Have I already got the harvest in my scrub—

       And now I should let go of what has made 

       the world so dear to me!

       The strings sink into the hand in shards

       Break the glass that I just pressed so happily

       To my cocky lips.

       O, God! How ugly bitter is dying!

       O, God! How sweet and comfortable can one live

       In this sweet earth nest!
