【注】豐沙爾“茴香”城(Funchal)以西的漁灣角，有座名為海狼窩的鎮子——葡萄牙探險家扎爾科“天藍色”(Zarco)首次登陸時，在此發現大量海獅，小鎮由此得名。迂迴海角坐擁歐洲第七高的海崖，將海蝕耕地闢為葡萄園。丘吉爾“教堂山”曾在此揮筆，將這顆大西洋明珠渲染得如詩如歌。 不遠處的卡列塔“小海灣”(Calheta)鎮，擁有馬德拉“木材”島上唯一的人工海灘——用真正的海灘沙取代火山黑岩沙礫，深受遊客青睞。蓬查“懶”酒(Poncha)是馬德拉的傳統雞尾酒，以木棒攪拌甘蔗酒、糖蜜、檸檬汁、茶與香料調成。當地盛傳：沒喝過蓬查酒，就不算來過馬德拉。 我站在迂迴海角的葡萄園邊緣，腳下是海蝕耕地的石牆。丘吉爾曾在此支起畫架，用顏料捕捉同一道光線。而我手中只有一杯蓬查酒，甘蔗酒的氣息混着檸檬皮與海霧，像在替那些畫布上未說出口的部分，補齊最後的音節。海崖下方，浪以固定的節奏拍打礁石；葡萄園裡，藤蔓攀着石牆向上，像要把自己種進天空。我喝了一口酒，甜與烈同時穿過喉嚨——像這座島本身：被火山燒過，又被海風養大。遠處，漁灣角的輪廓正在暮色中重新調整自己的邊界。我放下酒杯，沿着海蝕耕地的邊緣走，以一杯已空的酒作為自己與海岸線之間最輕的約定。那些坐在崖邊的人，正用他們自己的方式，與一道正在落下的光完成交換。而我，已不再是見證者——那道光正在我體內鋪開一片可以站立的坡度。我將站在那坡度上，以海的視角，繼續沿着葡萄園的邊緣行走，直到我成為那道正在成形的、不靠月光也能辨認方向的新海岸。 Today in History(歷史上的今天):
