【兒歌執筆(Aiden in English)】 媽媽對我管教嚴格，別看她從不督學，可一旦發現放學後我不是先把從學校帶回來的家庭作業做完再干其它事情，而是玩夠了之後才想起功課，肯定會板起臉來兇巴巴地批評我。在我看來，她把標準提得太高，往往說起來容易做起來難。大多數情況下，我覺得自己已經夠盡力了，但媽媽還期待我做得更好，天天向上。 就拿數學來說，自從進入初中六年級以後，因我跳三級插班學習中級代數，所以媽媽認為我不應該再像小學生一樣馬馬虎虎。如今數學課確實不像從前那麼簡單，難度也變得困難多了，如果我粗心大意做錯了題，媽媽就顯得很不高興：“你這個孩子，腦袋瓜在家還是不在家？！”此時此刻，我只能傻呵呵地站在媽媽面前被臭罵一通，等聽完訓話轉身離開的時候，她還在哀聲嘆氣：“嘿，真不象話。” 媽媽老跟彈鋼琴較勁。我認為，雖然鋼琴曲子本身優美動聽，但每天反覆練習同一首曲子非常無聊，因此我不會踏踏實實地按照老師的要求去做。不知為什麼，只要面對鋼琴，我很容易想入非非，稍不留神就開起小差，手也不知不覺地跟着停了下來。更有意思的是，我喜歡邊彈琴邊聊天，只要一坐到琴凳上，所有好玩的事情像演電影一樣接二連三地出現在眼前，氣得媽媽怒火萬丈：“小伙子抓緊時間，咱得幹什麼像什麼！你要集中精力，要趁熱打鐵，要……”假如再看到我彈琴的姿勢不好，她忍不住扯開嗓門：“手在鍵盤移動的時候，你必須抬起來，要隨音樂起伏自然換位！”“抬手的時候，手別那麼僵硬，得學會像溜冰那樣平滑一點。”
在寫作方面，媽媽表面上並不在乎我寫什麼，實際上特別喜歡聽我朗讀自己的文章，而且經常發表評論表達意見，結果我不是這裡需要改動，就是那裡應該重寫，本來一篇簡單的作文到最後變得一點都不簡單。
成長的過程中，媽媽高標準嚴要求迫使我及早意識到自己的責任。我知道，如果沒有嚴厲的媽媽，恐怕現在我懶得挑戰自己。
