古旧家园是燃烧的烟灰， 古旧家园是众神之家。 【注】每年阵亡将士纪念日(Memorial Day)周末，近500面美国国旗都会在马夫镇白沼泽纪念公园(Whitemarsh Memorial Park @ Horsham, PA)的林荫大道和墓地两旁飘扬，以此深情纪念为国捐躯的革命先烈。悼念旗帜穿过墓地、喷泉、草坪及通往墓地中心172英尺/52米高的编钟塔——一座由谦逊·爱马者·山巅设计的新古典式陵墓，他曾设计过费城著名的“右手之子·地主”大桥(Benjamin Franklin Bridge)。 与加州肥沃山谷的森林草坪(Forest Lawn in Glendale, CA)和维多利亚时代私家墓地不同，白沼泽纪念公园偏重美化自然景观而不是奢侈华丽的纪念碑，毕竟精致美观的大、小型纪念碑都是为了纪念死者；同时，其陵地试图通过蜿蜒起伏的景观、弯曲迂回的车道和修葺整齐的草坪来消除大部分视觉上的死亡痕迹；以自然为重点，采用简约、平展、青铜或石头标记，便于维护打理坟墓，游客可以将地面视为完整的全景景观，由此引申出白沼泽纪念公园的设计理念，置身其中不仅有助于加速思念故人的进程，而且哀悼者不会每时每刻都直对死亡的画面。 Today in History(历史上的今天):
