石鳥，永恆不變。化作他，你 而你，化作他並願你化作。這是 無異於其它的音響。必將結束。 【注】哈特伯勒“制帽城”是美國獨立戰爭期間著名的彎木戰役(Battle of Crooked Billet)所在地，用以緬懷在對抗英軍的戰鬥中犧牲的費城“兄弟之愛”民兵。1778年5月1日，受命切斷英軍補給的約翰·萊西“神慈·快樂”將軍(Militia of Gen. John Lacey)率領民兵部隊在彎木小酒館紮營，未料英軍出其不意發動夜襲，結果被打得潰不成軍，傷亡極其慘重。
愛沙尼亞裔路易·康“著名戰士·小船”(Louis Kahn)是二戰後湧現出來的美國知名建築師，擅長紀念碑風格和野獸做派，突出建材特色，使他躋身20世紀最重要的建築師名列。諾曼·費舍爾“北方人·漁夫”之家(Norman Fisher House)是路易·康於1964年設計建造的九座房屋之一，它由兩個近乎完美的立方體組成，與當時大部分傳統作品迥然有別。 以下大多數建築已載入《國家史跡名錄》。
