這位四川宣漢人一生最愛搜集整理民歌和創作民歌。其中最出名的民歌有《蘇二姐》和《康定情歌》。當年李依 若在成都讀大學時與一個康定的、姓李的女子相愛，曾經結伴到康定跑馬山玩耍，根據湘西“溜溜調”編了一首《跑馬歌》，唱給“李家溜溜的大姐”聽，以示求 愛。但這段戀情卻遭到了家人的反對，繼母魏氏甚至斷絕了李依若的學費和生活費，後來還全靠他的義父和李姑娘的相助，才完成了大學學業。可惜的是，這段愛情 最終受各種思想的束縛，沒得堅持到最後，徒留一首情歌，唱盡當年情。

現在讓我們試着將這首歌用另一種語言唱出，讓當年的熱情，回憶出上個世紀的愛情。

一、統計原文音節數，循原文音節數翻譯

二、翻譯問題分析及演唱技巧解說

第一句的譯文音節比原文多了兩個，Over the 要對應着“跑馬”唱，Hill of要對應着“溜溜的”唱，“山上”原唱拖得很長，所以將Running Horses（4個音節）對應着“山上”唱沒有問題。“一朵溜溜的雲喲”譯成“有一朵美麗的雲”（there is a beautiful cloud），音節數相同。

第二句的譯文音節與原文相同，語義也基本相同。

第三句比較難譯，採用了意譯的方法。There is a對應着“月亮”唱，beautiful moon對應着“彎彎”唱，一個“彎”對一個英文詞即可。Over the Town of Kangding正好是7個音節，對應着“康定溜溜的城喲”唱，節拍一致。

第四句的“大姐”不能直譯，意譯成“姑娘”即可。There’s a girl in the對應着“李家溜溜的”唱，Li 對應着“大”唱，唱family時要快，對應着“姐”唱。“人才溜溜的好喲”意譯為 she is really beautiful，音節數相同，但應該將really對應着“溜溜的”唱，而beautiful則對應着“好喲”唱。

第五句的“大哥”意譯成“男人”即可。前半句的演唱方式與第四句相同。“看上溜溜的她喲”意譯為he is in love with her，唱in時稍微拉長一點，對應着“溜溜”唱，love對應着“的”唱，with her對應着“她喲”唱。

第六句的“月亮彎彎”與第三句的處理方法不一樣，為了上下文一致，我們將其意譯為“美麗的月亮都能看出”（他愛上了那位姑娘），即The beautiful moon can see he is in love with her，由於“月亮彎彎”拖得很長，The beautiful 可以對着“月亮”唱，moon對着第一個“彎”，can see對着第二個“彎”唱。

第七句“一來溜溜地看上，人才溜溜地好喲”也用意譯更好。音節比原文少了一個，可將First be-對應着“一來”唱，first的/t/一定要省掉，cause the對應着“溜溜地”唱，girl is對應着“看上”唱。雖然really very beautiful（七個音節）與原文音節數相同，但是演唱時要將very（兩個音節）對應着“溜溜地”唱，而把beautiful（三個音節）對應着 “好喲”唱。

第八句意譯為“第二是因為那姑娘很會做家務活”。音節比原文少了一個，可將Second對着“二來”唱，將because the對着“溜溜地”唱，girl is對着“看上”唱，good at對着“溜溜的”唱，housework對着“家喲”唱。請注意: second的/d/一定要省掉，good at一定要連讀, at的/t/也不要發了，接着唱housework就行了。

第九句的翻譯策略與第六句相同。演唱時將she’s very對應着“會當”唱，good at 要連讀，對着“溜溜的”唱，good要拖長一點兒。

第十句意譯為I can love any of the girls in the world，但為了節拍一致，結構改成Of all the girls in the world, I can love any I like。加了all，這樣語法說得通，音節數相同，但是須將Of all the對應着“世間”唱，girls要拉長，對着“溜溜的”唱，將in the world對應着“女子”唱。後半句7個音節對應着原文7個音節唱即可。

第十一句的翻譯策略和演唱方式與上句基本相同。只是“男子”被譯為young men，對應着“溜溜的”唱即可。

第十二句的翻譯策略與第六和第九句相同。
